We are truly blessed here at Calvary Baptist Church to have Dennis J. Chapman serving the Lord as our Pastor.  He came to us from Arizona, in May 1984.  He is truly a man dedicated to the teaching and preaching God's Word, as he is led by the Holy Spirit.  He will not compromise his position on the KJV Bible, his beliefs, his standards or values to go along with today's popular opinion.  He has high standards for himself, his family and our church.  He is most assuredly a man called of God to this position. Pastor Chapman and his wife, Robbin, feel that God called them here to Simi Valley in the spring of 1984 to raise their family and to be a loving, caring, and thoughtful Pastor to our congregation and community.

Qualifications Pastor Chapman is a graduate of Pacific Coast Baptist Bible College, San Dimas, CA.  He holds a Th.G Degree and a B.A. in English Bible.

Work in the Ministry As of September 2007, he has been in the preaching ministry for 40 years, pastoring churches in both California and Arizona, as well as doing missionary work in the Bahama Islands and Puerto Rico, while he was in the US Navy.

His Family Pastor Chapman and Robbin, have been married for 35 years.  Robbin is one of our many Sunday School teachers, helps out in the Nursery and wherever else she is needed.  They have four grown children and three grandchildren. Andy and his wife, Kelly, don't live close by, so are serving the Lord in another church.  Andy works with the California Highway Patrol and Kelly has her own catering business.  They have no children. Amy and her husband, Brad, serve as the leaders of our Kings Kids group.  They are the parents of two of Pastor's grandchildren, Eddie and Natalie.  Amy is a stay at home mom and also does medical transcribing from home, while Brad works as a Physical Therapist.  Brad is also one of several piano players for our church. Sarah and her husband, Brady, are also active members of our church.  Sarah teaches a Sunday School Class and together they help out in the Kings Kids, Jr. Church and Nursery ministries.  Like Andy, Brady is a California Highway Patrolman.  They are the parents of Pastor and Robbin's youngest grandchild, a girl, Sadie Lynne (Sadie - a cross between Sarah and Brady ... cute!). Like Andy, Josh, lives out of the area and serves the Lord in another church. When the Chapman family gets together, they enjoy traveling, camping, surfing, roller-blading and just being together.

	On May 1, 2004 Calvary Baptist Church held a surprise dinner for Pastor Chapman and presented him with this plaque in appreciation for his years of service to the Lord and to our church. ~ Pastor's Email ~
